During the past twenty-five years the Society has met in various locations. The first semi-permanent home of the Society, was in a large basement suite of a commercial building on the south side of the city. It was there that we began building many of our club items, including stage equipment for performing an annual English Pantomime and for celebrating England’s patron saint at the annual St. George's Day. Our most recent, and longest, home was in the Prince of Wales Armouries, in the heart of the City. It was here that we built a very comfortable clubhouse, complete with a bar lounge, office, dressing rooms, prop storage facilities and a fully equipped theatre. Unfortunately, due to structural problems with roof sections of the almost one hundred year old Prince of Wales Armouries, the Society was asked to vacate at the end of September 2007. |
