Text Box: Over the past twenty-seven years, the Society has had a presence in Edmonton. The first semi-permanent home of the Society, was in a large basement suite in a commercial building on the south side of the city. It was there that we began building many of our club items, including stage equipment for performing an annual English Pantomime and for celebrating England’s patron saint at the annual St. George's Day.
Our most recent, and longest, home was in the Prince of Wales Armouries, in the heart of the City. It was here that we built a very comfortable clubhouse, complete with a bar lounge, office, dressing rooms, prop storage facilities and a fully equipped theatre.
On vacating the Prince of Wales Armouries, at the end of September 2007, the Society now functions at the Woodcroft Community Centre in Coronation Park, near the Telus World of Science.
Text Box: This is the official web site of the Alberta St. George Society. The Society offers membership to all people whose sympathies are for all things English. Regular year-round Society activities are held most weekday afternoons and evenings, and regular social & stage functions are scheduled for many Saturday evenings.
